Question F2 Trouble Code
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 911.4698815
Age: More than 10 years

This range started to display an F2 code a couple of days ago. Top burners still work, but the oven does not work in any way, shape or form. I can hit the "reset" button and the F2 will disappear for 30-60 seconds and then show up again. Thanks

Check the oven sensor. You should get 1100 ohms resistance at room temperature, about 75 degrees.

Check the bake and broil relay for welded contacts.

Check the door lock switches for proper operation.

If everything check OK it is the clock/control that is faulty.

Here is a link to the parts of your range model 911.4698815.

Here is the oven sensor.

Thanks for your reply. I gave up on a reply since it had been a few days with no response and went out and bought another range. I work at a retirement village with 80 houses with dishwashers, range and fridge repair responsibilities and I could not keep the lady living there waiting any longer for a functional range.
