My range started beeping and I saw that it had an F2 code. I punched every button I could find and it would not cancel. I finally left it alone and after about a total of 3 minutes... less than 5 for sure it stopped with the F2 still on display. it then cancelled.

It was not in use and probably hadn't been used in several hours.

Any Idea what it was?

The F 2 code is tell you that there is a problem with the key pad.

Check the connection from the key pad to the control.

If your control and key pad are one unit you will have to replace the control if the code can not be cleared.

Can you please verify your model number?

The model number should be on a tag on the frame of the range where the drawer closes.
