Default F2 code on GE wall oven 'cooking center'
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: jt965
Age: 1 - 4 years

Our wall oven gives an alarm and then shows F2 ion the oven read out. Off-on will usually will clear it, but what does it mean?

The F2 code is telling you that there is a problem with the oven sensor.


Here is a link to a general breakdown of your oven model jt965.

For a more detailed breakdown you will need the last four to five digit of your model number that can be found on the tag with the serial number.

If that is the case, it seems to be a simple solution IF I can slide the oven out and get to the connections in the back. Is this something best handled by a trained repair individual?
