Default F1 error code and temp problems
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: 9875VRV
Age: 5 - 10 years

My Magic chef electric oven gave the F1 code for a while but still worked OK now the temp is around 100 degrees lower than the read out states. Is this the control panel. Just hate to get a new one, since this one has been so good and my wife really likes it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

according to some posts it looks like you can check the temp probe with an ohm meter. So I plan to do that tonight and if that is OK I would like to know if it is the clock unit or the touchpad. So if anyone knows if you can check these please let me know. Clock is $227 and the touchpad is $143. So just buying one instead of both can save some money. By the way my Model # is 9875VRV.

Thanks
