Default !!Expandable Element Doesn't Work!!
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: fefl79dqh
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a Frigidaire Glass top stove that is about a year and a half old. The expandable element (6"-9"?) isn't working. the outer ring is working, but not the inner/smaller element. Doesn't come on at all.

I currently have the top lifted up and it appears to be a single unit. But after I lifted it up, wonder if it could be the electronics that attach to the element, or the element itself. Wonder what else it could be....

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

You will need to check for voltage to each part of that coil burner or ohm it out.

Thanks. I will make an assumption that I can check that voltage with a meter right on the element itself (haven't taken it apart), or do I check it on the external connectors attached to the meter itself?
