Kadar,
A friend of mine had her oven throwing all sorts of codes at her like that. Finally the appliance guy came out and said that the cellphones (all digital) were causing the issue because the oven was old enough not to have a deflector. It has since been replaced….but that’s what they told her.

Turn the power off to the oven.

Check the connection from the key pad to the clock.

If the connection is good then put back together.

Turn power back on and press the cancel button.

If the error code returns after 60 seconds then the keypad will have to be replaced.

Here is a link to your oven model RBD245PDQ12.

Do you have any instructions on how to replace a Keypad for a Whirlpool double oven.

I took the top four screws out but it seems like the the plastic around the outside of both ovens are one unit?

Did you find out how to replace/check the keypad? I am getting the "E6 F2" error and the Whirlpool customer line said I would have to replace the Control Panel. Before doing that, I would like to check the connections, etc., like Sheila said. I see the same screws you mentioned, but like you I'm not sure that they are what to remove. I don't know if there are catches that need to be released, and I don't want to pry something loose the wrong way and damage something (and have to replace even more!). The documentation that came with the oven doesn't have anything helpful.

I'm going to look at the parts diagrams to see if they help me figure it out, but thanks for any help anyone can provide.

H.B.

Default Error Code E6 F2

We had a repair person come out over a year ago when we started getting this error code and were told that it wasn't common. It seems like that wasn't the whole truth.

Has anyone been able to resolve the issue and what part did you need to replace?

C

Default Whirlpool problems

We are having the exact same problem. I google searched this and saw a host of other consumers with the identical problem on young units. Our unit is around 3 years old.

Same error message, now the panel just shut off. This is ridiculous to expect customers to pay a couple hundred bucks for a light panel because these guys can't make products worth a damn.

Needless to say, I'm going to the company 10-K and will find someone's email address...to rip em a new one. When I'm gouged, at least I want them to feel the pinch of a nasty letter to the CEO or letter from a federal or state regulatory agency.

By the way, their large ice machine stinks as well. replaced the motor twice.

I'm having the same problem too and my oven is only 2 years old! I would also like an update on the solution and whether Whirlpool is admitting a recall issue yet.

Thanks!
