Default Erc?
Brand: Roper
Model Number: FES340YL 1
Age: More than 10 years

Our oven display and buttons have stopped working. We still have a time display but the buttons have stoped working. I have unplugged it and no change. My wife said it displayed a F5 when it stopped working but I have not been able to duplicate the code. I have looked online and looks like it might be the ERC. Is that hard to replace yourself and it is worth the cost of replacing the ERC? I looked on one site and the price was about $256.

It may be a problem with the self clean circuit.

Check the switch on the door lock.

If the switch is good it would be the control.

If the range is in good condition it is worth the cost of repair.

Here is a link to your range model FES340YL1.

Sheila,

How do you tell if the self clean circuit is bad? Novice here and did not see this circuit on link you provided.

Thanks.
Dan

You will have to check the switch on the locking mechanism.

The wiring diagram should be with your range.
