Default Electronic range control repair
Brand: Amana
Model Number: AGS761W
Age: More than 10 years

This is information for you. The electronic range control on this stove is no longer available. Ours showed 'F5' after a lightning strike. I have replaced two devices on the module, which comes apart quite readily: one is Q4, a discrete Darlington transistor array with three terminals. It cross references to the NTE48. I also replaced the seven-channel Darlington amplifier array, a 14-pin IC and the only one on the board, with an NTE2013. It's possible that only Q4 was the problem, but together the devices cost eight bucks at the local electronics distributor. The stove seems to work fine now; any electronics technician should be able to do this repair.

Good job, will keep for reference. Also be aware there are companies that will fix these electronic modules, for a lot less than a new board!

I really hate to bother you but I don't quite know what I am doing or really where to turn to. I have an Amana range that has a dead ERC3, and according to your reply to kinsler33 there are "People" who can repair these boards. I would like to see if I can find someone who could repair my board. Can you tell me where to go about looking down here in East Central Florida? Any help. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, sincerely Jim.
