Default Electric stove top burners inop
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: gbs307pd
Age: 5 - 10 years

I've got a 7 yr old Whirlpool flat stove top that only has 1 of the 4 burner surfaces properly warming. The inoperative burners will turn on but will subsequently turn off and on (glow orange then turn to black) within 1-2 minutes. Am I correct in assuming this is a heating element going bad????

Model number is GJC3034H

Do it yourselfer that likes to safe $$$!!!

Thanks,
Andy

No if the element was bad it would not work at all.

And element is like a light bulb it either work or it don't.

It is most likely the switches that have failed or the limiters on the elements.

Here is a link to your cook top model GJC3034H.

You will need the last two digit of your model number for a detailed parts list.
