Default Electric Cord on Range needs to be replaced
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: SF367LEMW
Age: 1 - 4 years

A rat chewed through the electric cord that controls the ignition and oven controls on my gas range. We had a gas leak and had the gas lines all replaced and inspected yesterday. We need to replace the cord, which goes from the bottom back of the range to the wall way down low (easy access for the rats). I went to Lowe's this morning after calling them with our model # and part # and they said "sure we have lots of cords for that stove". They did not and the one they recommended instead is a 16 gauge appliance repair cord, which only has bare wires, not the connector to the back of the range.

Do I take the connectors off the old cord and attach them to the replacement cord? The gas guy acted like this was no big deal. I can't figure it out.

If there are no terminals on the cord you can buy new one at a hardware store.

You can not use the old terminals.
