I spilled a large amount of warer on range top. water is causing short in eletronic ignition module in control valves. How can i get the range top off to espose control valves? I've tried to lift it but it does not come up do not want to pull to hard if it dosn't open up like a regular range top.

you have to unscrew the burners first to remove the top. but first try taking a hair dryer to the switches first to see if you can dry them out
