Default Downdraft doesn't draw
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: JGD8348BDP
Age: 1 - 4 years

Downdraft doesn't draw and is VERY noisy.

The ducting runs up through a column on my kitchen island through the roof, and is within the specs (equiv. duct length, elbows, etc.) We removed the restricter ring, as instructed.

I figure the problem is either: 1) the duct going out of the roof isn't long enough (it doesn't go above the peak of the roof) -OR-
2) The blower motor is defective and needs replacing.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

Default

When was the unit installed?

If the motor is noise it may be bad.
