Post Double Electric Oven shuts off, F4 code

Our upper oven will not stay on. We turn it on and the temperature reaches about 250 degrees for 5 minutes or so and then turns off. This seemed to start right after we did the self-clean. It shows an error code of F4, but not always. The lower oven works fine. Any help you can provide would be great.

F4 is usually a shorted oven temp sensor circuit.

Since you noticed it after a self-clean cycle, check for a melted connector on the sensor leads, or sensor leads shorted to ground.

The sensor itself could be defective, but they usually fail open. It's supposed to measure around 1100 ohms at room temp.
