Default Door Locked message - oven won't work
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JKP27BOW2BB
Age: 5 - 10 years

Getting flashing message of "Door Locked" though we can open it. However, we cannot turn on as it flashed "door" in the message screen. Bottom oven works (though it is manual).

Have tried the following:

1) Turning off oven (at breaker) for 2+ hours
2) Holding in light switch then pressing Clean then Clear.
3) Tried manually moving latch to open position.

Nothing has worked. Hoping it's something simple I can fix myself. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Mikos

It is likely a stuck door switch.

You will have to remove the lock assembly and check the switches.

Here is a link to your oven model JKP27BOW2BB.

Default Thank you

Thank you Sheila.

That's what is was. In fact, when I attempted to force a few days back, I must have bent the lever that triggers the switch. Bent it back (ugh) and it works.

Much appreciated. Great forum.
