Default Does This Sound Right?
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: 64HN-4TKVW EV
Age: 5 - 10 years

Thanks to everyones help here I've learned the F-2 code is the oven sensor and can be purchased fairly inexpensively. Unfortunately, this oven is in my daughtors apartment in Washington, DC. I am in NJ. My daughtors boyfriend is incapable of making the repair. She called a local repair service told them about the F-2 code. They told her they would have to replace the oven sensor and control panel at a cost of $400. This is over the phone. Does this sound right?
Thanks.

Hi,

I would check for bad connection on the oven sensor first.

Second I would replace the oven sensor if the connection is ok.
