Default Digital display "all lit", but top working
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 911.45569893
Age: 5 - 10 years

I do not know of anything happening to cause this (worked the night before).
But my digital display on my Kenmore 911.45569893 range is all lit. (No error codes can be visible, because it is all lit). No push buttons effect anything. The top burners do work via the knobs.
I have cut the breaker to the stove off for several hours to try and "reset" the control board. This did not help.

any help work be greatly appreciated.

Can you please check your model number as I cannot locat it on our database?

You will likely need a new clock.

it says 911.45569893
serial 9G456131Q

The Sears parts database says WB27T10418 is the replacement "clock control" for it.

That was what I was affraid of. I just wanted to confirm so I dont buy a new one and it be something else.

thanks

When I look up the part number that you have supplied it is telling me that the part is no longer available.

I would contact Sears to make sure of this.

I did and it has been discontinued, but the part I referenced before
(the WB27T10418418) is it's replacement. I actually also called GE (the maker of the component) to verify it's unavailability. They would not verify my "all lit" problem.

I was just looking for more of a "warm fuzzy" that if I replace this, that the problem will be fixed. It is a $120 part, and I did not want to replace just because, and still end up calling a repair person, if at all possible.

I had not seen nor heard anyone reference their display "all lit up". I find plenty on dim or dying screens and F-code errors.

thanks
