Default Damaged coating on glass top range
Brand: Kenmore
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi,
I have a Kenmore glass top range that I bought few years ago. I love it, and I have been taking very good care of it - using only special cleaners and non-abrasive cleaning pads, so it looks like new. But recently by accident abrasive pad was used in one area of the glass top, and it looks like the coating completely came off - now it has a black spot on one of the burners. It looks really bad. Is there anything that can be done to repair this coating? Thank you!

There is no way to repair the glass surface of your range.

The only thing that can be done is replace the top.
