Default Cracked Porcelain Main Cook Top

Model Number: JES8850BCS
Age: Less than 1 year
While doing our kitchen re-modelling, we cracked our range porcelain cook top. This will definately make a dent in the kitchen re-modeling.

Fortunately, we still have our old electric range. So we can postpone repairs to our porcelain main cook top.

Have found the part number "74011635" at Whirlpool Canada with a listing price of $479.98 Cdn. (Whirlpool Parts Model Display).

What can I expect for installation costs? Since I cannot find disassembly/assembly instructions AND I consider myself "average to above average" DYI guy. How easy is this to install? Or Jenn-Air brands are too complicated and not recommended?

All member experiences on this type of repair, installation, tips and tricks are welcome.
