For the information you are looking for you should contact Sears Parts and Service.

Their number should be in the yellow pages of your local phone book.

Default Sears Country Kitchen Range

I tried Sears before contacting you but didn't find anyone who could tell me anything. All they said was the manual was out of print and they don't stock any parts for this range (antique-143-6606801). Thanks for the quick response. I'll wait a day or two and hopefully get another response. James

James,

If the range is old and Sears is not stocking parts then the only other place that you could try is a library.

Sears should be able to tell you who made the range with the first three numbers of the model number. (143).

The wiring diagrams used to be stuck to the back of the range or tucked in to the control panel.

Default scanned appliance manual exchange

I've got a bunch of old appliances in the garage, many from Sears. I was lucky my
dad saved most of the manuals in good condition. I have had to obtain parts and diagnose problem remotely and have scanned many manuals. Is there a "manual exchange" site somewhere, similar to a legitimate napster? I think a lot of people have scanners now and often people who have one broken applicance have others and may have manuals they would be willing to scan.

I just got done scanning some Sears manuals and would be interested in
posting them somewhere and I need others. Presumably, this would help
people locate others with damaged appliances that they may be able to salvage
rather than discard. I understand Sears in particular is bad on parts, I just got
a price on a little circuit breaker of $89 while a new unit is only $200 and
hardware stores mentioned that Sears parts tend to be unique to them.

If there is any interest in a new site or you know of a site for exchanging scanned
manuals please let me know.

Thanks.

Question Sears Country Kitchen Range

Dear Sir, I have the Sears Country Kitchen Range. I'm assuming this is the same stove you are asking about, it was a reproduction in black of the old cook stove type with the warming closet overhead. If this is the manual you are looking for I will gladly scan my manual which shows all the wiring or even reprint it for you. I've had my stove for 25 years and bought it second hand, it is gas. Sears actually had the parts until about 10 years ago. I used mine for years and then it was in storage for about 8 years, I now want to have it rewired and gone over, but can find no one in our area to do so. Well I hope this is what you're looking for, I would be glad to supply it. Let me know!!-Anita
