Cool Cooling fan starts when baking
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: SCE30600B
Age: 5 - 10 years

This problem is in a Electric glass top slide in Range. When I turn the oven on to bake and it reachs a temp of around 200 degrees. The cooling fan that is used for the self cleaning part of the oven turns on and will not shut off till the oven cools down. This just started up resently. We never used the self cleaning yet so I don't understand. Could this be shorting out at the Clock Control Assembly board in the front of the range or at the Control board in the rear of the range. Or could it be something else.

It probably has a fan to keep all the electronic components cool enough to operate.

Unfortunately I could not get much info off the schematic because the resolution was very poor so cannot be very helpful to you

I would try unplugging or throwing the breaker to the unit and leaving it off for a couple minutes, this may reset the fault

There are no codes showing up on the front touch pad. do you know where the temp sensor is located for the cooling fan. or is built into the board. The fan is used for the self cleaning cycle and should come on at a temp of 500 degrees. that I know. for some reason it's comming on prematurly.

I did see another sensor but could not make out what it was for
Hopefully you have a better copy

I would think that they use the oven thermostat
But this is just a guess
