Default Cooktop Replacement
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KERC607HWH4
Age: 5 - 10 years

Cracked cooktop - I must have twisted the range as I slid it back into place. I'm not sure why it cracked, but in any case it must be replaced.

1) Is this something I can do myself? $155 for the part before shipping is going to be a heckuva lot cheaper than what the repair guy tells me (coming later today).

2) How to I tell the difference between the different "series" part numbers? I get a 'page not found' error when clicking. Link: Whirlpool KERC607HWH4 Parts List

Thanks!

The cook top series is determined by the serial number.

So when you call to order your part have your model and serial number.

You should be able to replace the top without to much trouble.

Here is a link to your range model KERC607HWH4.
