Default Convection oven takes too long to heat up
Brand: Other
Model Number: FC 26
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a Sodir FC 26 countertop convection oven. It is the 110 volt model. I'm not sure if anything is wrong or not. Company info on this model says it should get to maximum temperature in 7-12 minutes. Mine takes about 17 minutes and before it reaches the temperature that's set, it cycles on and off a lot of times. Shouldn't it continue to heat until it reaches the set temp and than start to cycle on and off. It was under warrantee so the company told me to bring it in to a repair shop. The shop replaced the thermostadt and when I went to pick it up the tech told me it was still working exactly the same but the company told him that was within it's specs. I called the company and they also told me that. If it's working within it's specs why would they tell me to bring it into a repair shop in the first place? Am I getting the run around or does the oven sound ok?

Sorry I don't have any information on the counter top ovens.

If the oven does reach the desired temperature and is cycling during the cooking process it must be working right.

If the oven is electronically controlled it is possible that it is set to cycle during the preheat.
