My frigidaire self cleaning oven with electric smoothtop range
model #CFES387CFB5 ....TYPE 3S5A.
when I push convection bake it does not heat up at all. the fan comes on . But it heats up for bake and broil and the clock works the range top works.. have checked the fuse box the electrical outlet in the back and there does not seem to be a problem So I am very confused as to why it will not work for the convection.?

You probably have a bad heating element behind the back wall of the oven. Look at partselect.com for access info. and thest the element for continuity.
