Default Control Panel Not Functioning Properly
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: RF378LXKQ 0
Age: 5 - 10 years

The only function of the control panel of this electric range that works is the clock! Everything else appears to have gone caput. When attempting to set any of the controls to operate the oven, including the self-cleaning option, we get a three "dit" alarm sound (i.e., dit-dit-dit). I went through the operation manual troubleshooting section but ... no help. The unit just reached the 5-year mark.

Any assistance is appreciated. My first guess is that it has something to do with the control board (controls are push-button type controls).

Thanks.

Yes it appears that the electronic board has failed.

This is a part of the clock assembly.

Check to make sure that the connection on the clock are tight.

Here is a link to your range model RF378LXKQ0.

I allways check power to the board to ensure nothing else is bad like a thermal fuze.
