Question Connecting Burner wires
Brand: Hotpoint
Age: More than 10 years

By rangetop burner is failing. The block that my burner draws power from has apparently fried, and power to the large burner is intermittent. I bought a new block from Part Select and it came with a large wiring harness which is apparently integral to making connection with the burner power elements.
Raher than open the whole oven and rewire the whole works, I intend to cut the old wires near the burner and join the new harness there.
PROBLEM: Hardware stores don't seem to stock wire connectors, sometimes called MARR connectors or wire nuts in anything but plastic and that obviously won't do.
QUESTION: How do I connect wires in a stove with safe, heat resistant connectors?
Thanks in advance>
Geo.

The Marr connectors that the hardware store have are what you would use.

If you don't want to use them it is best to run the wire to the switch.
