Default Changed mother board, get no readout
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: SVD48600D
Age: 5 - 10 years

I just ordered and had installed a motherboard (panel for bake, roast, convect etc. ) the technician took the whole top part including burners because we were mistakenly told it was in the front when in actuality that part was in the back. Well I diagnosed correctly with your help but now the display does not show. so no time, no temperature or what setting. however I can set everthing even the timer although I can't see it and it goes off at the correct time. The technician says he did everything correctly but my theory is - if you did then it would be all o.k.Any suggestions as to what might have been left disconnected? is there a digital light fuse? or a weird light bulb? Please help - have lots of baking to do! thanks so much!

What is the part number of the part that you replaced?

It could be something that the technician done when he put the top back on.

Here is a link to your range model SVD48600.

Default My Jennair stove doesn't have lighted display

I had a service tech ( not certified ) replace the motherboard in back. However Marcone (your supplier here in Jacksonville) told us that it went in the front so he took the entire stove apart. My theory is he left something unplugged or out of alignment. its not anything malfunctioning .... the part is good.He insisted he put everything back and refused to take it apart again...I can faintly see numbers if I look at an angle and shield any light source from above. just not bright and light like normal. I'm afraid to take it apart but after paying him and the $200 part I am broke! I will take it apart if its something simple. I feel sure that it is!! but I need guidance. HELP please! thanks so much for answering me! I don't feel quite so abandoned!!!!!The electrical board he replaced ended up being in the back down 2/3of the way. the part in front not working like it was before he took it apart is the display panel that tells you time and temperature and the timer. works but doesnt show clearly. Thanks!

It sounds like your technician must have left a wire off.

It is hard to say.

The only thing you can do is unplug the range and take it apart to see if he did.
