Default Chambers - Gas Built-In Oven
Brand: Other
Model Number: PC-1000-A
Age: More than 10 years

I have a Chambers Gas Built-In Oven that was installed in the late '60's or early '70's, I'm not sure. Model Number PC-1000-A, (I'm reading the model number from the owners guide that was left behind which appears to be correct supported by the photos and parts illustrated break down section in the guide).

It is no longer igniting the gas burner. The pilot flame is lit, but once I turn the knob for the burner to come on, nothing. Normally, I would hear a sound, like a whoosh, (I guess the gas rushing to the burner or the flames coming from the burner as it was firing up), right before the burner would ignite, but I'm not hearing that sound now.

I would like to know what it could be from these three parts I have listed below and where and how I can purchase them for this model oven?

Item No. 78
Part No. B-6701
Part Name Valve-Ov. Burner

Item No. 81
Part No. C-6603
Part Name Thermostat-Ov. Auto.

Item No. 112
Part No. B-6679
Part Name Pressure Regulator

Thank You in advance,

Regards,

Darryl

Default

It sound like the valve is not opening to allow gas to flow.

This could be the valve or a weak igniter.
