Model Number: mer5710aaw
Age: 5 - 10 years

I need to know how to get the ceramic top off to see if an element is out... How would I trouble shoot this..or if it is the switch..

To lift the top of the range open the oven door and remove the two screws that hold the top down.

There is one screw in corner.

Grasp th top with both hands firmly and pull the range top forward.

You can use the wiring diagram to check the elements and switches.
