Default Ceramic Glass Cooktop
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: C970-656932
Age: 5 - 10 years

The glass on my stove just cracked.
A serviceman once told me if it cracked it was cheaper to buy a new stove. I find that hard to believe.
I am pretty handy is it possible to change myself.
No instructions in my use & care manual, are there links or diagrams on the internet that can help me do what seems like a simple task.
Thanks,
Ed

I don't have any information on Canadian models but they are no different from the American ones.

You will have to disconnect the power to the top and take to out of the counter.

Remove the screw that secure the top to the pan.

You can call Sears Canada Inc. to get a price on a new top at 1-800-4my-home. 1-800-469-4663.
