Default Caloric Oven - Timer Problem
Brand: Caloric
Model Number: RMF364
Age: More than 10 years

Hi,

Our burners work but our oven will not go on. When we turn on the oven, there seems to be no gas because we can't ignite the oven with a match.

We suspect that it has something to do with the timer. The stove has a clock and a system for timing the use of the oven that includes "on" time dial and an "off" time dial. The "on" and "off" time dials show the same time as the clock. Even when we reset the "on" and "off" dials, they start moving with the clock as soon as the clock reaches the time shown on the dials. Therefore "on" and "off" always show the same time.

This happens whichever setting we have on the man/time switch.

Any clues?

Judith

Default

It sound like it could in the timer if the regulator is good.

Does it work on the broil setting.

Can you please verify your model number?

It should be on a tag with the serial number.
