The heating coil in our built-in oven won't shut off when the temperature reaches the set temperature. We have gotten an F1 error code, but mostly it just stays on until we hit the "off" button. . Is this fixable and is it worth fixing?

Try shutting the power of to the oven.

The F1 code is telling you that the clock has had a logic error.

Disconnecting the power will sometimes correct the error.

If this does not fix it you will have to replace the clock.

Here is a link to your oven model RB260PXBQ2.

Tried that. It didn't work. Question: Why would the clock control the oven temperature?

The clock is an electronic oven control that controls all the functions of the oven.

In the last twenty years manufactures stopped using conventional thermostat controls and gone with the electronic control.
