hotpoint oven, stove top burner light stays on when knobs are turned off. None of the 4 burners are warm but light says they are on. I've unplugged oven, pulled burners out and inspected connections, all look ok. Any ideas?

Yes, you have a bad switch. If you unplug the stove, and look at the switch where the terminals are, and read the terminals, you will see H1 and L1. Take those 2 terminals off, and ohm it out. If you get a ohm reading when the switch is off, that is the bad switch. Tom
