After using the self cleaning oven feature on the Frigidaire Gallery gas range the burner igniter sparks continually and the knobs for the rear burners are locked in place. I un-plugged the power and replugged the power hoping it would reset something but it didn't help. I'm wondering if the high heat of the cleaning melted something important in the control panel. Why would the knobs be locked in place?

It is hard to say what has happened but you should have it checked by a qualified gas technician.
