Question Burn damage on glass stovetop
Brand: Whirlpool

While making jelly this evening, the pot was too small and boiled over on the flat glass stovetop. With a wet soft cloth, I tried to wipe it off once the burner cooled, but I swear there were little pieces of the stovetop on the cloth (you can see the little black dots). I fear that burner (the larger, forward burner and therefore the most useful one) is ruined. Anyway to repair it? Thanks!

Edited to add: the brand is wrong. I just checked again and it is a Maytag. The stove/oven came with the house...

The pitting will not effect the operation of the range.

The only way to fix it is to replace it.
