I have a broken cooktop on a frigidaire range. I need to know what parts I'll need to replace it. Are the elements attaced to the underside of the ccoktop or the body of the oven. Also how is the cooktop attaced to the body of the oven. I'm concerned that it might be attaced with an adhesive since no fasteners are visable.

You will have to replace the top.

It has a metal frame that is attached to the top and a pan with the elements in it.

Because your range is a slide in unit your should raise the stove before you pull it out so you don't damage your counter top.

When you pull the range out you will see the screws that hold the top on.
