HELP! When I turn the oven on, the broiler element heats up to red hot. It remains that way regardless of the oven temperature setting. The lower element also comes on but appears to be controlled by the oven setting. As a result the food overcooks on the top and does not cook properly at the bottom. Consequently I have to turn the food over. Any ideas to repair this would be welcome.

Can you please supply your model number?

It can be found on a tag on the frame of the stove where the drawer closes.
