Default Brand New LG Gas Range. Spark goes to wrong burner.
Brand: Other
Model Number: LRG30355ST
Age: Less than 1 year

I just got a brand new LG Gas Range delivered last Sat and one of the 5 top burners doesn't work. (all other 4 burners come on ok)

I hear the spark, but I have proved the spark is going to another burner.

Home Depot manager says this is a simple "wire on the wrong terminal" fix, but I'm not so sure. I have looked at the wiring diagram and I noticed there is a ignitor module that takes the input signal from the knobs and distributes to the individual sparkers.

I'm thinking we could have either:
a) Bad wiring
b) Bad igniter module
c) Bad knob

Does this seem OK? Is there anything else it could be? Is there one of these that is less likely to be the problem?

I'm just trying to assess best - worst case scenarios now.

Thanks

Default

It may be a wire off or a faulty electrode.

Where your range is under warranty it is best to have a technician in so you don't void your warranty.
