Question Baking element not heating but the broil element is heating
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: 3521XRW
Age: 5 - 10 years

just checking out the site.. hello... i have been trying to see if i can get a diagnosis. when i turn the oven to bake, it does not heat. when i turn it to broil the broil element heats up.... what could be the problem? i seen a screw at both end of the baking element. is all that's required is to unscrew both screws and pull the bake element out?will i have to uplug the stove before i began repair?

Last edited by madclique : 09-11-2007 at 03:56 AM. Reason: 2 screws on baking element

sounds like the bake element burnt out and yes you WILL HAVE TO UNPLUG RANGE
