Default Bake Element
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: 126127
Age: Less than 1 year

I turned on the oven for the first time since the new bake element was installed (1 month ago) and it took 40 minutes for the oven to heat to 400 degrees. Is there something wrong with the new bake element that I ordered from PartSelect? Do I need to send it back for a replacement?

Did you check to see if you are getting 240 volts to the oven?

Can you please supply your model number?

Default heating element

Thank you for your quick response. No, the appliance repair man did not check the voltage after he installed the element for me. The model number is W131 B, serial number A15105713KS. Perhaps I should call the appliance service and have them come to the house to complete the job. Should they have checked the voltage after installing the element?

Check the fuses in your house panel before you call the technician back.

There are two fuses for the oven and when the element went bad one of the fuses may have opened.

Default heating element

the fuses are all on so that may not be the problem. Could it be a bad heating element then or something the technician did while installing it?

It could be a bad element.

There could be a wire off in the oven so may be it would be a good idea to have the technician come back.
