Default Bake Elelemrnt melted
Brand: General Electric
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello
I used my oven the other night and after heating up, the bake element started sparking and melting. The element was burning along its length until I unplugged the stove. Is this just a bad element - I ordered a new one, or is there something else that could cause the element to get that hot?

The element should be all that your need.

Sometimes if you don't get to it in time it can do damage to the electronic control if the range has that type.
