Question Bake and broil don't work
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: S166
Age: More than 10 years

Bake element hasn't worked for awhile, but I used timed bake, which caused the broil element to turn on. But, the last time I baked something, when I turned the oven off, I saw smoke and heard a bang noise.
The advice I got was to remove the door, unscrew the bake and broil elements, and bring them to the repair store where they will test them for free to see if they need to be replaced. How do I get the door off? How do I unscrew the elements? I can see very tiny little holes where the screws might be, for the bake element, and I can't see any-thing for the broil element, not being flexible enough to twist into position to see where the screws for the broil element might be. Also, the oven is built into a center island. There is a chance I can see the back of the oven through the back of cabinets which back up to the oven.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I know it is a pain but I would turn power off to the unit and pull it out of the island.

You had smoke so something burned up, you have to find out what that is!!!
