Default AMANA ARG7301ww, BAKE FEATURE DOESNT HEAT UP COMPLETELY
Brand: Amana
Model Number: ARG7301ww
Age: 5 - 10 years

Model #ARG7301WW
SERIAL: 9710232146

Hi All,

About 8 months ago the "SELF-CLEAN" Feature stopped working, so I would manually clean the interior with elbow grease or "Easy Off" Oven Cleaner.

This past week I noticed that the bake setting did not heat up competely, it would take forever to cook something. The burners work fine, as does the Broil feature.

I am taking on the grueling task of trying to remove the bottom part which goes over the flame.

I can see a flame towards the rear of the oven, but no heat is coming from the front part. I think this may be clogged with something, but am not sure.

I am pretty handy, but have never done work on this particular appliance, I know it shouldnt be that difficult, because the bottom burner works in a similar fashion as a grill burner. What I would like in addition to a solution, is some advice on HOW or WHAT to use to clean the blockage? A wire Brush perhaps?

thanks in advance!

Callie
