Question 6" burners deliver only high heat regardless of setting
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JP651 electric cooktop
Age: More than 10 years

The smaller, 6" burners on this built-in countertop cooktop deliver only high heat even when we set the temperature on "low". My understanding is that we're supposed to be able to regulate the heat on these burners. Anybody know what's going on?

Default

Your infinite heat switch is faulty and you will have to replace it.

Here is a link to your cook top model JP651.
