Default It works some second
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: TC-2250
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi this is my problem.
My Microwave do not heat more but it works.
I changed the HV diode but nothing.
The strange thing is this:
I turn on the microwave with something to heat, it starts heat for 1, 2 seconds then i hear a little pop sound from the components and it stop heating.
I turn off, i unplug the power and after some hours i put again the cable and it do the same thing. It starts heat and stops with a pop noise
Now which damage components is giving this problem?
Magnetron, capacitor or the transformer?
Magnetron and capacitor components are not so expansive and i can change them.
The transformer cost a bit more.
Thank you all.

p.s. sorry my english.

Depends on if after the pop the power goes out and stays out for a while if this happens then it is the mag tube make sure the fan is running or it gets to hot and kills the power,,,, Either way its probably the mag!!!!

No, when it happens the power is always on.
I did unmount the magnetron and tested it, it seem ok but i saw there is a THERMODISC 36TX21 mounted on it. How can i test it? Maybe i thinked is the thermodisc damaged?
