I was using the timer on my microwave the other night to time food I was cooking in my toaster oven, instead of hitting timer I actually turned on the microwave with no food in it. It was on for about 4 minutes and now it will not heat anything at all. Is my microwave ruined or is it just the internal fuse or something small that we can fix ourselves? Can any one help?

It may be the thermostat that is opened.

If the fuse was the problem nothing would work.

The thermostat is number 10 on the breakdown and it can be checked with an ohm meter.

What would the ohm meter read if the thermostat is bad?

If the thermostat is open you will not get a resistance reading.
