Default Whirlpool - Light Over Stove
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: Looks Like GH4155XP
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a Whirlpool microwave installed over my stove. It came with my house which was built in 2004. Recently the light over the stove burned out. I tried replacing the bulb with two different bulbs, and neither one would light.

What could be the problem? Is it something I can repair? Should I call a repairman? What can I expect to pay a repairman?

Thank you,

Chris

It is unlikely that two bulbs would be bad but did you try then in something else.

If they are good then it is likely in the wiring in the microwave and it should be serviced be a qualified technician.

As far as costs go it will depend on who you have service it.

The best thing to do is call around to find out what the locale servicer charges.
