Talking Unit partially stopped working - Help
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: JMV8000BAB
Age: 5 - 10 years

The microwave still heats but turns off by itself after 1-3 minutes. Unit was working fine and all of a sudden the dish stopped turning and the lights stopped turning on. I checked and the heading element is still working and the door locks correctly. I saw a forum about this same issue but did not say what was wront, just a relay???

I started to take the top of the unit apart to get to the control boards but it did not seem to come apart easily at all, in fact, I could only get the vent cover, the internal filter and the light box off, the main plastic internal cover would not come free. Please help. This unit is mounted over the burners and undre the cabionets.

I would like help to:
1) identify the part needed and
2) get to the part itself. I looked at the diagraphs and it did not help.

Thank you very much for any help.

It sound like you have an electrical problem.

The only way to service the microwave is to take it down.

It is not recommended that you try the repairs yourself.

There is a high voltage capacitor that can cause you harm if you come in contact with it.
