Where did you get the model number from?

The model number should be on a tag on the edge of the control panel where the door closes.

Is the microwave a counter top model or over the range type?

Over the range. I got the model # from inside were you were saying it is.

Googled it and it returns as an over the range microwave, but it looks like it is no longer in production as it is out of stock at a number of on-line stores.

e.g.: Magic Chef Appliances - MCO160S Over-the-range Microwave - MCO160S
