I was using the vent on low on it while cooking and then put an item in the over the range microwave and turned on for two minutes....looked up a little later and timer was still at two minutes and light was on with tray turning...opened it to find it was not cooking and closed it....it would only turn with the light on and no noise.....the vent is the only other thing working on it ......

It sounds like a problem with the electronic board.

If your microwave is still under warranty you should call for service.
