My over the stove microwave touchpad appears to work sometimes and sometimes it does nothing. How difficult and/or dangerous is it to replace the touchpad? Could the touchpad be bad or might I just have a bad connection?

It is not recommended that you do any work on a microwave the involves taking the unit apart.

If the touch pad is intermittent it is likely a bad connection in the board.
